Hippopotamus, a luxury organic towel brand produced in Imabari, Japan and HIS have formed a business partnership. Hawaii Square provides full support for Hippopotamus’ branding, sales channel development, and entry into the Hawaii market.  Their products are currently available in Hawaii at The Kahala Hotel & Resort boutique, HIS Ala Moana store at Ala Moana Center, Waikiki boutiques, and LeaLea Market online store.

Agency for recruiting international students from Hawaii to Kyoto University of Advanced Sciences (KUAS), International Center, Faculty of Engineering

With the establishment of the new Kyoto University of Advanced Sciences International Center for Engineering, where the entirety of the curriculum is in English, we have been contracted to act as an agent for recruiting international students from the state of Hawaii. We will be operating the planning, organizing, and conducting of KUAS information sessions at various local high schools throughout Hawaii. There has been a track record of both multiple applicants and successful applicants each year.

Support for the import and sales of specialty ”SENBEI”(rice crackers) from all over Japan to Hawaii

Support HIS Hawaii’s efforts to import and sell delicious specialty “SENBEI”(rice crackers) from all over Japan. Through selling these senbei from a wide variety of regions throughout Japan, it is our hope to get locals in Hawaii to learn more about Japan both for its many attractions and generally as a travel destination.   We operate the planning and management of store development, import operations, and promotions.  These senebi are now on sale at the HIS Ala Moana store in Ala Moana Center.

“The Consignment Garage”, a local Hawaii community-based sporting goods consignment store

Under the motto “Recycle, Resell and Repurpose,” The Consignment Garage is a consignment store that focuses on sporting goods. We support the planning, store development, and operation. We opened our first store in Pearl City, in the heart of Oahu, with a desire to provide services that are rooted in the local community. Whether you are looking to sell or buy, we look forward to serving you at “The Consignment Garage”.

Assistance in the planning, production, and marketing of “My Little Adventure,” a collaboration between Kapolei High School in Kapolei, Oahu and HIS Hawaii

“My Little Adventure” is an educational book for children about Hawaii’s beautiful ocean, marine life, and the fun of safe snorkeling.  All the activity pages were illustrated by talented local Kapolei High School students and HIS staff. The authors of My Little Adventure hope to spark greater interest in snorkeling by sharing helpful information about Hawaii’s marine life, culture, and some Hawaiian vocabulary. 

We provided full support from planning to production and sales. The book is currently on sale in Hawaii at a variety of hotel boutiques, tourist attractions, the HIS Ala Moana store in Ala Moana Center, the LeaLea Market Originals at Sheraton Waikiki, and LeaLea Market online store.
